REVAND CHINI Ayurvedic Herb :
Revandchini is a medicinal perennial herb with rhizomes roots & large radical leaves, found in Himalaya region. It is bitter and pungent in taste.
Botanical Name : Rheum emodi.
Common Name : Indian Rhubarb or Archu.
Attributes :
- Revand Chini is an Ayurvedic Herb used in the treatment of constipation due to its purgative and laxative action.
- Revand chini act as a liver tonic and increases the production of bile in liver which further regulates the weight and fat and is useful in liver disorders.
- Revand chini is also used to treat indigestion, acidity and it tones up the gastric and intestine.
- Externally, the paste of revandchini powder is applied on pimples, acne and pigmentation to hasten wound healing.
- Revand chini are also used for cleaning teeth and sprinkled over ulcers for quick healing.
Cautions :
- Avoid use in chronic diarrhea.
- Do not use in epilepsy, gout & rheumatism.
- It contains oxalic acid so do not use in uric acid diseases, renal or gall bladder stones.
- Do not use in pregnancy, or while breast-feeding. It may be secreted in milk and induce purgation in baby.
- It should not be used for long-term.
- It gives a deep tinge to the urine.
